What kind of application is Miitomo?
This application is all about communication with your friends.
In a nutshell, what do I do in Miitomo?
First, try answering the various questions your Mii will ask you. Your 'answers' will then be shared with your friends. Sometimes you'll receive answers from your friends too. It's also possible to respond to answers you find interesting by leaving a comment.
Can I use Miitomo for free?
The application is available as a free download.
Basic functions are free to use, but there are also purchasable elements, like clothing for Mii characters.
Note: An internet connection is required to use Miitomo.
You are responsible for any internet connection fees.
Can I use Miitomo with my friends?
You can use it with people you've registered as friends.
Can I use Miitomo offline?
You cannot use it offline.
How old do I have to be to use Miitomo?
This application is not intended to be used by persons under the age of 13.

What operating systems support this application?
(iOS users)
This application is supported on iOS 8.0 or newer on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

(Android users)
This application is supported on Android 4.1 or newer.
Note: Some devices may not be supported.
What languages are supported?
Currently, this application has 12 language options: English (Europe/Australia), English (US), French (Europe), French (Canada), Spanish (Europe), Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Latin America), German, Italian, Dutch, Russian and Japanese.

Miitomo isn't working properly! What should I do?
If Miitomo stops working properly, please try to restart the application.

Note: Please take care that you do not uninstall or delete the Miitomo application from your device by mistake.

If that still doesn't help, please try the following steps to clear data for the app:
iOS users:
❶ In iOS, select "Settings".
❷ Select "Miitomo".
❸ Turn on the "Clear cache next launch" option, and restart the Miitomo app.
Note: We recommend using Wi-Fi due to the size of the data.

Android users:
❶ In your Android settings, select "Apps".
❷ Select "Miitomo".
❸ Select "Storage".
❹ Select "Manage space" (or "Manage storage").
❺ Select "Delete data" under Downloaded Data, and restart the Miitomo app.
Note: We recommend using Wi-Fi due to the size of the data.

About Preregistration

How can I receive the My Nintendo Platinum Points for preregistering?
Regular Platinum Points have already been added to the Nintendo Account you created during preregistration. To see your points, sign in to your Nintendo Account on the My Nintendo website, and open the Points History page which can be found in the Menu.

Other Questions

A message is displayed saying that the Nintendo Account User Agreement and/or Privacy Policy were updated, and I can't play the game.
Log in to your Nintendo Account (https://accounts.nintendo.com/) and agree to the new user agreement and privacy policy to gain access to the game.
(In some cases, even if you start the game after agreeing to the new terms, the update notification may still be displayed.)
